THE FUTURISTS, 1928

RETURN VISIT NEXT TUESDAY. Versatility is the key word of success in the Futurists of 1928. For instance tako tire clever work of the ladies. Miss Ira Vanda and Miss Ida Newton. In some acts they are seen as pretty juveniles (not that they require any great amount of the grease stick as both are blessed with good looks) and in other scenes anything but beautiful characterisations. The former is particularly clever in her character as the ' ‘ Spoilt kiddie ’ ’ and the latter as “the good old mum” in the same sketch. This talented company will play Hastings on Tuesday, January 10, and those who remember their first visit some years ago will doubtless be keen again to see them. The appearance of Mr Joe Brennan, a new member who heads the combina tion is being looked forward to. Mr Brennan joined the Futurists after a successful contract with J. C. Williamson as principal comedian in pantomime in Australia where he credited with having kept Australia rocking with laughter for a year. He is loaded with laughs a'nd will delight audiences with his writticisms. Among the comedies to be presented by Mr Brennan are “I’m Out,” “The Fisherman,” and “The Police Station.” They are side-splitting camco comedies that have been convulsing audiences. Intending patrons should book at Fail’s.
