Geneva, Sept. 30, The Georgian Press Bureau declares that a rising in Azerbaijan, begun in August, continues, and that the insurgents defeated the Bolsheviks, who lost a field gun and several machineguns. The insurgents occupied Churuz, which they are still holding. They are also maintaining other positions despite bombardment by the Soviet’s Caspian Sea fleet. —(A. and N.Z.)
