TRENTHAM SCHOLARSHIP FUND

REPORT OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. PAYMENT TO BURSARS. Wellington Sept. 30. The report of the executive committee of the Trantham Scholarship War Fund for the 16 months to July 31, states that applications for 228 bursaries were received, and the following awards applicable during 1927 wore made: Renewals 143, £3042 10s; new awards, 73 £1565; declined, 12. The classified statement of awards shows: Children of deceased men, 129, £2977 10s; children of partially or wholly disabled men, 77, £1445; children of men who served overseas, 10 £lB5. Since the inception of the fund, £22,523 (id had been paid over to bursars. The number of awards is 744 affecting 369 children.
