PUBLICAN’S LICENSE
FOR MORRINSVILLE HOTEL MOTION TO QUASH DISMISSED. /Per Press Association). Auckland, September 30. Motion for a writ to quash the granting of a publican’s license for the Morrinsville Hotel was dismissed by the decision of Mr Justice Stringer in the Supreme Court, The plaintiff was William Johnstone, of Morrinsville. a farmer, and the defendant F. W. Platts. S.M.. and the members of ■ the Ohinemuri Licensing Committee. His Honour said it seemed clear that it was intended that the license should be granted in a restoration district within the limitations ex presslv stated. He saw no good grounds for departing from the nlam language of Section 11 of the Act. which enabled a license to be granted in a restoration district not only at the first meeting of the commit tee but thereafter from time to time as occasion might require.
