RIFLE SHOOTING.
HASTINGS MINIATURE CLUB. EVEN SCORING. The semi-final shoot was held last night, and resulted in several ties for the trophy having to be twice shot off. At the second attempt, between L. Ta.Vlor. E. Taylor, and W. I. Robertson, the latter succeeded in winning the silver spoon. L. Taylor. W. J Burton, and W. J. Robertson registered 97 each from the rifle, and the two former are now leading for the season’s championship with ten best scores to date, totalling 958 each. F. T. White lias droped back a few points, but has still a chance of equalising. Last evening’s scores are as under:—:
