LE BAS-WARD.

On Tuesday afternoon tn St John’s Cathadral, Napier. Vera only daughter of Mr an<| Mrs G. T. Ward, of Napier, was married to Harry Leonard, son of the late Mr and Mrs H. Le Bas, of Napier, by the Rev. Brocklehurst. The wedding aroused considerable interest, both parties being well known in Napier. The bride wore a handsome frock of satin under ah overdress ol ivory georgette and silver lace, trimmed with pearls, and shoes and stockings to tone. A bouquet ot sweetpeas was carried. Misses A. Storkey and R. Jennings attended the bride in frocks of pale green and mauve respectively. Pretty hat bands of gold and colours, and gold shoes and stockings were worn, while bouquets of Howers to tone were carried. The Hower girls were Misses Hilda Collinson and Pearl Timms, dressed alilie in pale pink and blue nnd carrying dnintv baskets and suitable flowers.

Mr. D. McTvor, of Hastings, attended the bridegroom. Mr, H. Pop plewell. of Hastings acting as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Foresters’ Hall, where nearly 200 guests were present. Mrs Ward received her guestin a -beautiful floral crepe-de-cliine dress wit hnale grey crinoline straw hat and kni-niiet of roses and tulips. The aw ■’ toasts were honoured and mnny congratulatory telegrams read.

The Rev. H Blnthwayte ,of Takapau officiated. Given away by her father the bride looked charming in a white crepe-de chine frock, with silver trimmings and shoes to match. She wore a beautiful veil of white embroidered net, with pink rosebuds and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of pink and white cineraria and m«<->en. hair tern.

BECK—KEITH. • A pretty and popular wedding was solemnised yesterday bv the Rev. D. J. Shaw at St. Andrew’s Presbvterlan Church. Hastings. The bride was Miss Lilian Stuart Keith, daugn ten of Mr and Mrs W. Keith. 109 Charles street. Hastings, and the bridegroom Mr David Irvin Beck, son of. Mr and Mrs David Beck. County Down. Ireland.

■The bride, who was (riven away bi her father, looked very sweet in her dainty dresi of ivory georgette and silver lace, with silver shoes and stockings of .palest tone. A soft veil was caught in by a coronet of pearls and silver lace, and the ensemble was completed b t v a lovely sheaf of lilies and fern, with filmy tulle streamers. The attendants were Miss Keith, the bride’s sister, and Miss M. Roil, both looking charming in sunshine taffetas frocks with gold lace, and gold shoes. Picture crinoline hats were worn to tone, and both carried bouquets of yellow iris, daffodils and primroses, with golden streamers. Mr John Si Horne carried, out the duties of best man and the groomsman was the' bride’s brother. Mr William Keith. After the ceremony some two bundied guests were entertained in rhe Oddfellows’ Hall by Mr and Mrs Keith, where the happy couple were offered the felicitations of their friends, and a delicious repast was enjoyed. Mrs Keith received her -uescs wearing a handsome dress of black crepe de-chine, with relief of beige lace. and.a black hat. . A bououet of rose-coloured tulips and maidenhair fern with rose satin streamers, was carried. Later in the day ami<| showers of rose leaves and confetti, the haicouple left by motor en route foi their wedding tour through New Zealand. The bride chose for her

travelling ensemble a Wedgewoodblue silk repp, trimmed with beige crepe de-chine and hat to tone, and also wore a brown fur coat.

The bridegroin gave the bride a set of fox furs, and the bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a travelling rug. The bridesmaids da ch received rold armlets from the bridegroom.

Many beautiful presents were received. including a silver tea service from the bridegroom’s fellow officers and Court staff, also a handsome oak clock from the guests of Ranfurlv House.
