CRICKET IN NEW ZEALAND
CONFERENCE OF DELEGATES. PROPOSED AMENDED CONSTITUTION. (Per Press Association). Christchurch, Sept. 29. “I feel . _ ; e that Mr, Earl has not been fully reported,” said Mr. D Reese, chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council, when interviewed concerning complaints by Mr. Earl regarding the management of cricket in New Zealand. Mr. Reese said that Mr. Earl’s remarks referred to the question of direct representation on the couitcil, and hardly did justice to the management committee. “A conference of all delegates throughout New Zealand has been arranged to be held in Christchurch in the second week ot November,” said Mr. Reese, “when the principal matter for discussion is the management committee’s proposal to alter the constitution of the council to enable every association to send direct representatives to each annual meeting. “Mr Earl, as president of the New Zealand Cricket Council, was consulted in reference to this, before the management committee put forward its proposal,” said Mr. Reese, “so that it is quite clear that the remarks attributed to him in the Press Association message cannot represent his views in the matter.”
