“TOTE” IN N.S.W.
RULE TO BE REPEALED. BACKERS OF PLACED HORSES. (Received 28. 9.40 a.m.) Sydnev. September 28. The Government has decided to re peal the totalisator rule providing for the return of not less than the unit of investment -to backers of placed horses, as the new 'system did not prove popular with the betting public. The old system of allocation of 50 per cent, for first horse. 30 for second, and 20 for third will be reverted to'.
