CARD TOUBNEY AND DANCE. LAST NIGHT'S FUNCTION. The Hastings Citizens’ Band 500 card tourney and old-time dance attracted a fair attendance last night considering the unfavourable weathen In the curd tournament, under the control of Messrs R. Henderson and W. A. Bennison, the -following were the prize winners:— Ladies. Mrs McMahon 1. Mrs J. Gordon 2; gentlemen, Mr Norton 1, Mr Putton 2. Two special prizes, dented by Mrs McCormbe were won by Mrs Brewer and Mr L." Henry. Mr Bennison directed the dancing Mr and Mrs Horne supplied the music Mr L. Henry playing an extra. The next long night will be held on Friday. October 7th.
