At the annual meeting of the North Wellington branch of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers, held in Napier there were present members from Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu Wairarapa and Wanganui and visitors from Wellington and Taranaki. Mr F. N. Thompson, of Napier was elected to the chair. The annual report and balance-sheet showing the branch to bo in a sound financial position wore read and adopted. The election, of officers resulted:—Chairman, Mr N. C. Stavelcy, Wanganui; secretary, Mr T. Dix, Wanganui: committee, Messrs J. C. MeLaughlan, Waipukurau, W. A. Waters, Palmerston North I. E. Robinson, Shannon. It was decided to hold the next meeting of the branch at Wanganui, in September of next year.
