DOMINIONS’ MARKETS
BRITISH TRADERS’ INFREQUENT VISITS,
INTERCHANGE OF YOUNG MEN SUGGESTED.
(Received 26, 10.10 a.m.) London, Sept. 20. Complaining that English traders do not visit the dominions in sufficient numbers to find things out for themselves, Sir Archibald Boyd-Car-penter, in an interview with the “Daily News,” suggests the interchange of young men between England and Australia and New Zealand, enabling each to learn the others’ needs and conditions.
“We were told repeatedly,” he said, “that we were the first specific trade delegation which had ever visited Australia or New Zealand. The market is undoubtedly there and it is up to us to take advantage of it.”— (Sydney “Sun” cable.)
