Judgment was given by the Chief Justice? Sir C. P. Skerrett. in the application of Clara Maude Preston, sole surviving daughter of the late Edward William Roper, who left £28,578, of which nine-tenths of the income was to be paid as annuity to Mrs Sarah Jane Seymour and the capital to be subsequently entrusted to the Public Trustee for the founda tion of the Roper scholarship. Tim Judge ordered that an annuity if £350 be paid to the applicant as from the date of death of the testator, on condition that she repay a voluntary contribution made by Mrs Seymour.
