INDICATIONS OF RICH REEF

Sydney, Aug. 29.

The report of the company's Held manager regarding the recent discovery of a reef o f gold at Edie Creek, New Guinea, says the Warden’s assay showed a value of not less than 20 ounces of free gold to the ton, and the geological formation of the lode assured its living to a great depth. The director ot the company, who i£ visiting Sydney, states that further discoveries of rich lodes and quartz reels in the Edie district have resulted in the pegging out of many leases. He adds that the indications showed the location of permanent rich reefing and the field promises to be the best since the pegging out of the famous Golden Mile at Kalgoorlie.
