(To the Editor.) Sir,—One pair of flies, left nn. hindered to breed, would cover the whole earth’s surface to the extent of six inches deep in a your. This was one of the stateni’-tes made by Mr. A. Moore Hogarth, chairman ot the College of Pestotogy. in a London speech. Nobody had any idea of the immensity of the insect problem, said Mr. Hogarth. It was responsible for the loss of thousands rtf lives.
