Auckland, Aug. 28. A flight from Christchurch to Auckland, by Captain J. L. Findlay of Wigram Aerodrome, Christchurch, was completed to-day. The distance

was approximately 600 miles. Capt. Findlay and his m e c h a n i c left ChrisUhurch a t 6.50 on Saturday morning in a I) H type machine, and shortly after 8 a.m. the airmen were over Blenheim. A perfect landing was affected, but the soil proved soft

Arrangements were made to continue the Hight in a Bristol machine, and in this Captain Findlay and the mechanic resumed the Hight from Blenheim at 2.30 yesterday afternoon. Hawera was reached at 4 p.m., ami here the airmen remained for the night.
