CHOKED TO DEATH

BY A PIECE OF MEAT.

(Special to “Tribune.”) Auckland, Aug. 29.

While having lunch yesterday, Alexander George Wheeler was choked to death by a piece of meat. Wheeler was a widower residing at 301 New North road, Morningside. He was dining with his family at about 1.15 o’clock when a piece of meat stuck in his throat and. before it could be extracted, he had choked to death. Medical assistance was called but nothing could be done. An inquest will not be necessary as the police have made the necessary investigations and the doctor has given a medical certificate.
