"RED SYNDICATE” SEIZES MINE

FOREIGNERS’ LIVES ENDANGERED,

(Received 27. 12.30 p.m.) Washington, Aug. 26. The United States Consul at Guadalajara. Mexico, advised the State Department to-day that 18 Americans and 11 British are barricaded in their homes near the Amparo Company’s mines, which have been seized by the "Red Syndicate” and their lives are endangered. Following the seizure, all foreigners in nearby villages, with the exception of those besieged, fled to Guadalajara. —(A.P.A. and “Sun” cable.)
