Archibald Andrew Scott, aged 30, who received a sentence of four years’ imprisonment in the Supreme recently, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment by Mr K. W. McKean, S.M., in the Auckland Police Court yesterday on a charge of escaping from the Mount Eden gaol on May 27, 1925. Senior-Detective Hammond said Scott was serving a two years’ sentence in 1925 when he escaped. The crimes for which he was sentenced at the Supreme Court were committed during his two years of unlawful liberty.
