ON NEW ZEALAND COASTS.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR INVESTIGATION. Wellington, July 13. In the course oi a review made to the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research to-day, Professor Shirtcliffe mentioned that arrangements had been made for an investigation into the food of fishes on the New Zealand coasts. The work would be done by Mr H. J. Findlay with the co-operation of Mr Hefford, Chief of the Fisheries Department. The New Zealand Romney Breeders made a generous financial offer for the purpose of inaugurating research with a view to improving New Zealand Wool Great good was likely to emerge from the close association of New Zealand and Australian research bodies.
