PLOUGHING MATCH.

The Farmers’ Union will hold a ploughing match at Messrs. Bowen and Wilson’s, a mile from Stortford Lodge, on July 20. Dog trials and jumping events will also be contested. A large number of classes have been provided and a very liberal prize list—there will be over £lOO in cash to be won—has been drawn up. In addition there are five Challenge Cups, and medals and trophies to be won- Full details may be obtained from the secretary, Mr D. Balharry, Box 335, Elastings, and prospective contestants are urged to send their entries along early.
