Masterton, July 11. The Canadian Association Football team played the Wairarapa representative team to-day, defeating them by six goals to nil. The ground was sloppy and as the game progressed it wa s churned into a quagmire, making scientific and accurate play impossible. The conditions were aggravated by misty rain, which fell practically throughout the match. The visitors displayed splendid footwork control. The Wairarapa team offered a very stubborn defence and at times broke away with promising rushes, but their combination in the forward line was faulty. In the first spell the visitors led by three goals. Crawley netting twice and Podgson once. Crawley, Podgson and Francis scored goals in the second spell. HASTINGS SCHOOLBOY'S.
