The returning officer of the Eastbourne (Wellington) Borough said today that since no nominations to fill the vacancy of the Mayoralty brought about by the resignation of Mr. H. M. Jones, has been received on Saturday, he had again advertised for nominations. If any were received before July 25 the election would take place on August 5 The position is that the returning officer will have to advertise for nominations until nomination. or nominations, are received.
