INTER- VARSITY MEETING YALE AND HARVARD BEATEN. London, July 9. At the Stamford Bridge inter’varsity athletic meeting Oxford and Cambridge beat Yale and Harvard by seven events to five.—(A.P.A. and “Sun’’ cable.)
TANDEM CYCLE RACING. RECORDS SMASHED. London, July V. At the Herne Hill track, twelve competed in the 24 hours’ tandem paced cycle race, which started last night. J. Holdsworth ana punnet, Kentish wheelers, covered 517 miles 630 yards, breaking the British record of 513 miles 1430 yards, which had stood since 1909. They also broke the records for twelve hours and onwards.—(A.P.A. and “Sun” cable.)
