Blamires (2) and Zimmerman (0) faced the howling of McGirr and Badcock. Eight byes and two singles came off the first over to blamires from Badcock, but the over saw. Zimmerman’s dismissal, Hollings taking a catch in the slips. 1'35_7—1. H. C. Alloo was next, but soon last Blamires, who was put out l.b.w. to Badcock. 138—8—7. Torrance was next, but failed to score, being caught by Hollings off Badcock. 138—9—0. Green was the hist man in and commenced well tvith a hit for four, later placing the same bowler to the boundary, reaching 10.
