Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having sold at Takapau sale yesterday: 25 empty ewes 6/6, 12 2-tooth wethers '-N/-, 1 aged halt-draught mare £6 Williams and Kettle, Ltd.: 1 dairy cow £9, 2 at £8 13/-, 1 at £8 5/-, 1 at £B, 1 at £6 2/6. 2 at £l, 2 at £3 17/6, 1 at £3 10/-, 1 at £3 5/-, 1 at £2 10/-, 2 at £2; 1 steer £2 1/-, 17 m.s. hoggets 17/6. 4 porkers 26/-, w7aner pigs 20/-, 4 at 21/-, 4 at 18/6, 4 at 12/6. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London House, under date Ist instant:— Butter—New Zealand choicest: Quotations irregular. 164 s to 168 s; Danish, 1755; Australian, 166ss. Cheese.—White, 86s; coloured, 84s. Markets slow. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London house, under date September 1. 1926:— Tallow.—l2oo casks offered at auction, 16 per cent sold. No quotable change. Market, very quiet and unless demand improves there will be no public sales next week.
