Land Transfer System
MENACED BY NEW BILL. ADVERSE LEGAL CRITICISM. Wellington, Sept. 4. The clause m the Native Washingup Bill dealing with the legislation of rights of way over native ixnd European lands, lias met with nothing but condemnation in legal circles in Wellington as a serious menace to the system of laud transfer titles. Mr. Blair, president of the District Law Society, said: The Minister is introducing legislation to meet a special case, quite oblivions that the result will be disastrous to ’ho. whole framework of the Land Transfer Act. and will cause grave peril to lard titles and the Dominion.
