NATIONAL BEEKEEPERS’ ASSOCIATION.

HAWKE’S BAY BRANCH. A meeting of the National Beekeepers' Association (Hawke’s Bay branch) was held in tho Jockey Clubs rooms last evening, Mr Haskell Anderson in the chair. Mr D. S. Robinson, apiary instructor, was present, and apoligised for the absence of Mr Earl, senior, apiary inspector. Mr Allen Bates, of Kaponga, advised that he would donate a tested Italian queen to members of the association, rules to be fixed by Committee. Mr J. Rentoul, of the Honey Control Board, gave an address on honey export. The first lot was exported in 1914, but owing to the war export was stopped until 1920. The year 1925 was tho best for quantity, 780 tons being exported to England, while in 1926 530 tons were sent away. Markets were being tried in Scandinavia and Germany; also Singapore.
