SPECIAL TRIBUNE RECIPE.
SUMMER BEVERAGES WHICH WILL BOTTLE. DO YOUR WORK IN THE COOL WEATHER. CHILI BEER. 2 gal. water, 20 chilies. 31b sugar. 2 oz cream tartar. Juice of 2 or 3 lemons. 2 tablespoons yeast. Bull tho chilies in 3 quarts of water for 20 minutes, add the sugar and cream of tartar. Then strain and add tho rest of the water, strained lemon juice and yeast. Then bottle, cork, and tie the corks down at once. LEMON SYRUP. (To be added to water or soda water.) 2oz citiric or tartaric acid. 31b sugar. 1 teaspoon essence lemon. 2 quarts boiling water. Boil the sugar and water for a few minutes. Add the acid, and when that dissolves strain all into a basin. Add tho essence and bottle when cold. next week we give a specially given recipe for a Fruit Cake.
