NELSON (6) v. BULLER (4). Nelson, Aug. 21. Nelson defeated Buller by six to nil after a fast and open game. The local forwards were much superior to the visitors while the defence was very sound. In a ladies’ match for the Pope Shield Nelson (holders) defeated Gold en Bay by five to nil. The game was not very interesting. NOTICE TO PLAYERS. All members of the various teams who are not travelling to Wairoa on Wednesday, are requested to meet at Cornwall Park at 2 p-m., when games will be arranged.
