SUICIDE CONTEMPLATED.
MAN’S LETTER TO THE POLICE. SEARCH BEING MADE. New Plymouth, Aug. 27. The police have received a letter card signed “Norman Gilbert,” stating that the writer’s body will be found in Pukekura Park. He is believed to be a man of about 45, formerly farming at Fraser road, South Taranaki, and latterly in business at Auckland or Hamilton. He had a relapse after an attack of influenza, which left him in weakened health. A search is being made.
