DESTROYED BY FIRE.

PARAPARAUMU HOUSE. Otaki, April 30. Fire yesterday at Paraparumu destroyed a five-roomed dwelling and its contents, owned by Mr. Albert Jidwaird Ogier. The origin is a mystery. The insurances amount to £-100 on the building and £lOO on tjje furniture. Mr. E. R. Renner’s homestead at Whrekopue was destroyed by lire early this morning. The occupants had a narrow escape. A motor shed on the premises of Mr. Neilson, St. Aubvn street east, was gutted this at 1.15, the shed being beyond hope, in a high wind, when the brigade arrived. It is supposed some ashes deposited in flip locality were blown into life by the wind and a spark therefrom caused the outbreak.
