PIRATE SHANGHAI CANTON BOAT. (Received 1, 10.45 a.m.) Hong Kong, Mar. 31. The China merchant Steamer Hsingkong, en route from Shanghai to Canton, was pirated by a gang of armet? men disguised as passengers. They herded and bound all other other passengers, stripped them.of_ money and valuables, and loaded thc loot, valued at about £12,000 into fishing boats awaiting them near Bias Bay, a notorious pirate base near Hong Kong. Many passengers were emigrants from America with substantial savings. (Sydney cable.)
