NAPIER COMPETITIONS.

The Napier Competitions Society announces a splendid programme for the opening night, next Thursday, at 7.45. One of the most enjoyable items Is tno vocal solo, with own accompanist, in which nine competitors will appear, every artist singing a different selection. Alfred Hill’s glorious melodies will bo heard in the Maori song, four ladies and one gentleman competing. In addition there are piano duets, Shakespearean recitals, humorous songs, steel guitar solos, character recitals, songs in character, impromptu speeches, and one ten-minute entertainment. Season tickets admitting to all sessions are now available at the Mardi Gras rooms at the reasonable price of half-a-guinea.
