SERIOUS CHARGE.

John Harold Morris, cook, of Napier, appeared on remand before Mr. R. \V. Dyer, S.AL, al the Napier Alagist rate’s Court this afternoon, charged with committing rape at Napier on March 18th, 1926. A further remand to April 7th was granted on the application of Detective-Sergeant Butler, who explained that the prosecutrix is still in an unfit condition to give evidence. Air. B. J. Dolan, on behalf of the accused, applied for hail, which was granted on two approved sureties oi £lOO and self £2OO.
