GLAND GRAFTING.

GIRL’S WONDERFUL RECOVERY. FOLLOWS THYROID OPERATION. Paris, Mar. 29. The result of a strange experiment in gland grafting is reported from Roubaix. A year ago Olivier, a murderer, was guillotined, and the thyroid gland was removed from the body after tho execution and taken to the hospital, where a young girl was lying prepared for an operation. She was suffering from an affection of the thyroid, which had left her mentally and physically deficient. Within three months of the operation the girl improved, and after a year possesses all the powers of a normal girl of her age. —(A. and N.Z.)
