MANAWATU MEETING CONCLUDES. Palmerston N., Dec. 29. The Manawatu Racing Club concluded a most successful meeting. The tote handled £36,202, compared with £35.932 on the third day last year. The total for the meeting was £111.568, or £17.580 more than last year. Further results:— Westbury Handicap.--The Bolter (N. Trillo) I. Westbroke (B. H. Morris) 2, Lampvre (H. Burns) 3. Also started: Ilka, Miss Hupana, Master O’Rorke, Misgovern. A close finish. Time, 1.14 1-5. The judge evidently confused Birkie with Master O’Rorke. The latter was wide out and finished in line with Economist, but was placed fourth.
