THE TROWBRIDGE MURDER.
TRAITOR’S SON IMPLICATED.
(Received 29, 2.15 p.m.) London, Dec. 28. Bombardier John Lincoln, who was one of two men arrested in connection with the shooting of Edward Charles Richards, at Trowbridge, turns out to be a son of the notorious Tribitsch Lincoln, a former member of Parliament for Darlington, who was deported from England. Richards apparently fired his own revolver in defence. He had a large sum of money in his possession. The police found seven empty pistol cartridges at the scene of the crime. The police are following up clues connected with a mystery woman in the case.— (A. and N.Z.)
