Yesterday afternoon the annual prize distribution ceremony took place at Hip Hukarore Alaori Girls’ School, there being a large assemblage of friends. Tho prizes were presented by the Bishop of Waiapu, who delivered an address. The Rev I\ A. Bennett spoke in Alaori. The girls entertained those present with songs in English and in Maori and with a poi dance. Afternoon tea was later provided, the cooking having all been done by the girls of the school. There was an exhibition of needlework, the tailor-made costumes and dressmaking being greatly admired. The prize list is as follows:—
