Novice Stakes. — No Favours (MeCarten) 1, Mah Jong 2, Joy Bird 3. Scratched: Essential. Won by a head; the same distance between second and third horses. ’Time, 1.16. Gothard Memorial.—Kilceit (Ridgway) 1, Ngata 2, Printemps 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time 1-56. . _
Telegraph Handicap.—Sleet (Rosen) 1, The Bolter 2, Mime 3. Scratched: Won bv threequarters of a length. Time, 1.1. H.B. TROTTING CLUB COMMITTEE MEET ING. A meeting of the committee of the H.B. Trotting Club was held this morning, when there were present Messrs. M. Johnson (chairman), G. Ebbett, J. ET. Lloyd. W. J. Graham, T. S. Roulston, A. Symes, W. A. Macfarlane. T. Honnor and T. Cup* ningham. The N.Z. Trotting Association approved of the programme for the next trotting meeting, to bo held at Hastings on Saturday. January 30, 1926. Officials were appointed for the meeting and the charges for admission were fixed as follows: —Outside gates Is; lawn gates, ladies 2s 6d. and gentlemen 5s extra. It was decided not to issue £1 tickets on the totalisator. which will be a straight-out 10s machine. Fifteen new members were elected.
