WATPUkURAU STOCK SAKE. Tho Hawke’s Bay stockbrokers report holding - the usual weekly sale at Waijjfukurau yards yesterday, when a fair yarding- of sheep and cattle were offered to a good attendance of buyers. The prices ranged as follows : — Light bullock beef up to £8 7s 6d, light cow beef from £4 7s 6d to- £5 2s; fat cows £6 6s to £7 Is; fat heifers £4 16s to £6 9s 6d; 2-year steers £5 to £5 17s ; yearling P.A. steers up to £3 16s; empty cows and heifers £4; 2-tooth. wethers 15s 6d. The various brokers report sales as under: — De Pelichet, McLeod and Co., Ltd. —2 fat cows £7 Is, 76 ewes and wethers 13s.
Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-operative Association. Ltd.—ll Hereford bullocks £8 7s 6d, 2 P.A. steers £5 Is, 107 2 and 4-tooth wethers 20s, 46 ewes and lambs 17s.
Dalgoty and Co., Ltd.—l 9 18-month P.A. steers £3 16s. 15 15-month steers £2 2s, 3 forward bullocks £7 10s, 19 f. and f. heifers £4 7s 6d, 8 fat heifers £4 16s, 8 at £5 2s, 7 fat heifers £4 18s 6d, 2 fat cows £3 10s, 1 fat heifer £5 2s, 1 fat cow £3 12s, 8 2-yr steers £2 ss, 6 2 and 3-year steers £5 7s, 1 3-year steer £4.

MEEANEE SALE. 'There was a small yarding of sheep and cattle at the Meeauee sale held by Hoadlcy, Son and Stewart yesterday. The following are some of tho prices realised:—2s fat ewes 22s 6d, 1 fat wether 26s 6d, 69 store owes 8s 6d, 2 fat cows £4 16s, 1 at £3 16s, 1 bull £4 10s, dairy cows and heifers averaged irom £2 to £4 15s, yearling .heifers from 30s to £2 Is.
SALE OF DAIRY STOCK. Bone and Shaw report having held a most successful sale of dairy stock, etc., at Cunningham and Co’s yards on account of .Mr. 11. McKee, when tho following prices werp realised:— Cows in profit 1 each at £lO 10s, £6 15s, £6, £5, £4 10s, £4 ss, £3 15s, £3 12s 6d, 4 heifers £3. 3 weaners £1 4s 6d, 3 at 15s, dray £l2, separator £9 10s, tarpaulins £9, sundries at ruling market rates.
LONDON MARKETS. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLED REPORT. Tho Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram datea December 5, 1925, from tho High Commissioner for Now Zealand. London:— I BUTTER. .Market weak and irregular. Sales of New Zealand finest have been reported at about as low as ,184 s. Official quotations are:— Now Zealand: Finest salted, 190 s io 194 s per cwt (Is B£d to Is 8/]d per lb) ; unsalted, 194 s to 198 s per cwt (Is 82cl to Is 9.}d per lb); other qualities, 182 s to 181 s per cwt (Is 7.1 d to Is 7:{d per lb). Australian: Salted, 184 s to 188 s up to 190 s per cwt (Is 7|d to Is 8d to I s B’d per lb); unsalted 190 s to 194 s pe r cwt (Is Bjd to Is Bijd per lb) ; other qualities, 176 s to 180 s per cwt, (Is 62d to Is 7-jd per lb). Argentine: Unsalted 4 160 s to 1645. up to 166 s per cwt (Is sd, Is to Is 5.1 d per lb); other qualities. 150 s to> 156 s per cwt (Is Id to Is 4?]d per lb). Siberian; (According to quality), 154 s to 166 s per cwt (Is 4.1 d to Is 5-ld per lb). k Danish: 210 s to 214 s per cwt (Is 101 d to Is lid per lb). CHEESE. .English finest farmers’, unchanged and steady. Official quotations arc:— Canadian: Coloured and white (fair demand): 110 s to 112 s up to 114 s per ewt (112 d Is, Is Ojd per lb). Estimated stocks of cheese on hand December Ist. London, Liverpool amt Bristol were Canadian and American, 209,700 boxes, New Zealand and Australian 950 crates, against 209,600 and 33,170 same time last year. . WOOL. I Demand continues good at sales. Rates unchanged.
