SIX DAYS?

TESTS IN ENGLAND. F UTURE—-PERHAPS. London, Oct. 24. Prominent English amateurs express the opinion that three days are insufficient for cricket test matches. These all-inipn.”tant games, they say. are played in England only once in four years, and therefore at least three c them should be extended to six day.-, each. Mr Mallet, the member of the M.C.C. Committee who is representing the Australians in making arrangements for the tour, informed the sj> - cial representative of “The Sun” that there is no likelihood of six-dny matches during the Australians’ 1926 tour. The fixtures have been arranged on a three-day basis, with a possib 1 > extension to six days for the last test, if it is necessary to secure a definite resuit. There is no desire here for an extension of time, but i'f discussions during the tour favour six-day matches an alteration can be considered for subsequent season.—(Sydney “Sun” cable).
