.GRADING CONTEST. Tho New Zealand factory managers’ butter and cheese grading competitions, which wer© conducted at Palmerston North on Thursday, attracted a large number of competitors, representative of- many quarters of North Island, particularlv in regard to the clieese section. Hie results tallied in many eases so closely to th© standard set by the departmental officers tha( a wider appreciation of butter and cheese values on the part of factory managers is generally evidenced. The results were as follow: — Butter: R. W. Glenworth (Waipukuraii), 99 joints. 1: G. Arnold (Rangiwahia) and A. Gulliver (Maharaharn) each 98$ points, tie, 2: N. H. Madsen (To Poi) and A. F. Nielsen (Pihama) each 96J points, tie, 3. There wore 23 entries. Cheese; TT. Crosbio (Tnmaki). 98’ points. 1 : T. Robinson (Waikato Valley) and R. Fos s (Ballance Vallevt each points, tie. 2: G. Tbnrbnm (Wbonuaknra) and A. I). Brown (NorsewoocD each 971 points, tie, 3. There were 49 entries.
