CHURCH NOTES.

To-morrow morning at AVesley ( luirch the rewards for the Young Worshippers’ League will be presented. Sunday School prizes will be distributed at 3.30 p.m. Tho Rev. F. Copeland’s subject at the evening service will be “What proof have we that God is Love?” Mr Harris will conduct the service at Pakowhai at 7 p.m. The Rev. P. Ramsay takes the services to-morrow at St. Andrew’s Church. In th© morning the subject will be : ‘‘The Master of Life,” and in the evening “The Triumph of a Mother’s Love.” There will be suitable anthems bv the choir under the conductor, Mr I). Parkin. To-morrow al the Hastings Baptist Church, marks the commencement of tho week of Prayer and Self-denial, which is being observed right through the Dominion by the Baptist Churches. Rev. T. Keith Ewen will be the preacher, taking as his morning suject: “The Lord’s Remembrancers”; communion co follow; and in the evening: “God’s Wealth of Blessing and tho Condition He Imposes.” The Salvation Army services to-mor-row will be of an unusual character. In tho morning at 11 a.m. Sergeant-Major Ilullett will give the lesson, and ut night several people will give short talks on how they got saved, etc. Some of these are very interesting cases; one is a survivor of the a.s. Wairarapa, and another a survivor of the s.s Ta iron, while tho others have rccoxds none thu less interesting.
