LONDON WOOL MARKET. MERINO IN DEMAND. London, Dec. 8. At the wool sales 9,698 bales were offered. A moderate selection of crossbred sold readily, and prices were steady. Merinos were in demand, but the market was quieter, and prices were rather easier. Medium scoureds were frequently bought in and slipes sold irregularly. Th© Bradford tops market is quiet. Spinners are not operating at present quotations, but prices are maintained. —(Reuter) COMPETITION "KEEN AT SYDNEY. Sydney, Dec. 9. At the wool sales competition was keen and the market was firm. Super wools of especially fine quality realised extreme rates. ’ Crossbreds of all grades made full late rates. Greasy Merino realised 51 ]-4d., which is a record for the Australian market.
