Protecting the Orchard Pamona, the New Zealand manufactured Casein Spreader and Adhesive is giving very satisfactory results in many large New Zealand orchards. The ordinary spray does not by itself give sufficient protection for two reasons. Instead of spreading evenly over the surface of the leaves, twigs, etc., it collects in drops. The poison thus heavily concentrated on certain portions burns the tree and malforms its growth. Moreover, the ordinary spray does not become insoluble when applied and is liable to be washed away by the first shower of rain. Casein Spreader and Adhesive mixed with spray corrects these faults and offers complete and permanent protection from all kinds of insect and fungoid pests. Use Pomona ond ensure a richly productive season. Pomona is obtainable in 5 lb. bags at 6s 3d per bag from your local storekeeper, all Fruitgrowers’ Associations and the Fruitgrowers’ Federation or from Joseph Nathan and Co, Ltd., Wellington.
