FEILDING STOCK SALE.
CATTLE EASIER
Feilding Nov. 15.
Advertised numbers for cattle were exceeded by several hundreds at the Feilding stock sale yesterday, and sales were effected at easier rates. The number advertised for yesterday’s sale was two hundred, whereas ]Usd on a thousand head were yarded. Yearling heifers were sought after and good Jersey lines .made up to £4 10s. Forward cows changed hands at prices up to £4 2s 6d and bullocks to £7 9s. Sheep met with a steady demand and sales were effected at late rates.
The following are quotations:— Fat sheep.—Hoggets 395; ewes 25s 6d, 265, 26s 6d. 26s 9d, 27s 6d. 28s 6d, 28s Bd, 29s to 29s 9d; woolly b.f.’s 25s to 31s; 4-th ewes. 28s; wethers 335, 35s 6d to 365; 2-ths 26s 6d to 46s IdFat cattle.—Cows £3 17s 6d, £4, £4 15s. £6 7s 6d to £9; heifers £5 17s 6d to £ll 15s; steers £5 IQs. Store sheep.—Eiwe hoggets 26s 6d; forward ewes 23s 3d, 23g 6d. 23s 10d to 26s 3d •, empty ewes 16s 6d to 21s 3d; ewes and lambs 18s 6d,-. 245, 28s 9d; 4-th ewes 24s 6d to 26s 6d; wethers 32s lOd; 2-th wethers 22s 9d. 245, 255, 26s to 28s 3d; 2-th ewes 25s to 295; woolly 4-th ewes 35s 6d to 41s; wether hoggets 23s 8d; woolly do 27s 8d to 335; b.f. 2-ths 23 s 9d. Dairy cattle.—Springing heifers £2 ss, £2 15s. £4 2s 6d £5 to £5 10s; cows. £35; heifer in milk 355.
Store cattle.—Yearling heifers 355, 37s 6d, £2 10s, £2 7s 6d, £3 Is to £4 10s. yearling steers 235; empty Jersey heifer £5 12s 6d; bullocks £4 ss. £5 2s 6d. £5 8s 6d to £7 9s; rough steers' £3 to £3 17s; cows and calves £3 2s 6d, forward cows £2 15s. £3 to £4 2s 6d; other cows 22s 6d. 33s to 40s.
