ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

(Per Press Association.)

A collision between the mail train and a motor-car occurred at the Waipuku crossing last night (says a telegram from New Plymouth). The only occupant of tho car, L. S. Hart, farmer and. contractor. Stratford, sustained severe injuries. The engine caught the car full on, and the vehicle was badly damaged. A later message states that Hart died in hospital at about midnight. The aceident occurred at the Rutland road crossing a of Waipuku, not where the recent accident occurred. Deceased was driving from Rutland road on to the main road.
