ELECTIONS IN AMERICA.
REPUBLICAN GAINS. HOUSE AND SENATE CONTESTS. New York, Nov. 5. With 45 Congressional districts unreported the Republicans have wofa 218 scats, including . nearly a score from La Follette insurgents. The Democrats have won 170, and Farmer Labour two, showing a net Republican gain of 16 over the Democrats. With six Senate contests uncertain, the Republicans have won seven and tho Democrats eleven, giving the licans a gain of three seats in the Sen ate. With four States still doubtful, Mr Coolidge has 30 States with 367 elee toral college votes, Mr Davis twelve States with 136, and Mr La Follette one State with 13 votes. The latest counts concede the election of Mrs Ross as Governor of Wyoming.—. (Reuter).
