Tho “Morning Post's” Russian correspondent states that the attempts by Russian leaders and the press to dis claim responsibility for the Zinovieff etter become comic. Every leader and newspaper has a different version o* who rorged the letter. Zinovieff’s own official organ the “Pravda,” even declares that Mr MacDonald himself wrote the letter. The Soviet Government’s organ, *‘lsvestia,” declares that British Conservatives and Socialists concluded a secret agreement and Labour leaders deliberately sought to defeat their own party at the polls because they had reached tho conclusion that the Anglo-Soviet treaty terms were undesirble. According to reports received from Moscow Soviet circles, a special supreme revolutionary tribunal of the world proletariat will bo established to try Mr MacDonald in absentia for his betrayal of the cause of Socialism and a world revolution.—(A. and N.Z.)
