PRIVATE DETECTIVE AS LAND AGENT. (Per Press Association). Christchurch, Nov. 4. When the application for a land agdnt’s license by Bert Munns, private inquiry agent, again come before the court this morning the Land Aggnts* Association still opposed and Munns said he would not proceed. The police superintendent then replied to the allegations that the police had been bribed in this case. He said the author of. the allegations was a contemptible liar and “an assassin of men’s characters.” The magistrate said that the allegations were unworthy of notice and gave costs against Munns.
